Answer the following question.
·          Why did Subhas and Sisit, as their plan of escape, decides to drive out in 'the most natural fashion through the main gate'?
Subhas and Sisir decided to drive out in most natural fashion because they thought that it would not make the police on watch suspicious.
·          What items were purchased for Subhas to be carried with him on his journey?
The items purchased for Subhas on his journey included baggy shalwars (trousers), a black fez, a suitcase, a bedroll, shirts and pillows.
·          What was the real identity of Muhammad Ziauddin?
In reality Md. Ziauddin was Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in disguise.
·          Why do you think Subhas had to put on a false identity?
I think Subhas had to make false identity because the British Police was on his look-out and could arrest him if he was caught.
·          In which direction did Sisir drive after leaving Elgin Road?
After leaving Elgin Road Sisir drove towards Howrah Bridge after leaving Elgin Road.
·          Who was Ashok? How did he help in Subhas's escape?
Ashok was Subhas's nephew and Sisir's brother. After escaping from Calcutta, Sisir and Subhas put up at Ashok's house Barare, near Dhanbad on the next day before catching the train for Delhi in the evening.
·          Describe Sisir's last sight of Subhas.
Sisir watched Subhas mount the railway overbridge and walk across it with his majestic gait and he finally disappeared in the darkness of the Opposite platform.
·          Why did Sisir pick Subhas up in his car a title further from Ashok's house?
Sisir picked Subhas up in his car a little farther from Ashok's house because he wanted not to draw suspicions of anyone about the real identity of Subhas in disguise.
