An April Day ---by Henry Wordsworth Longfellow
Explanation: The poet loves the Spring
season very much. In this time the warm sun rays illuminate everywhere, the
time of harvesting and sowing comes
again. It is nice to visit woods as the spring season brings the first flower
here. And the time comes when the trees shed their leaves, the forest glades
become more visible and bright with different creatures. The cotton-like many
folded clouds gather in the sky and bear the message of coming storm. The
saplings grow with delight by drawing their sustenance from the loosened mould
of the earth. Though the trees are stricken by the bitten cold of the
winter/snow, the drooping trees become revived/ gain their vitality with warm
rays of the sun. It is nice to hear the warbled of the birds coming from the distant forest as they start
their day's activities feeling the warmth of the sun rays. At sunset when the snow-clad forest becomes bright with
the rays, all the shadows of nature gather in the hollows of the hill and the
upland becomes bright.
